Code of Conduct:

At Ottawa Premier Volleyball, we are dedicated to providing a fun, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants in our volleyball community. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations regarding the treatment of others and the consequences of engaging in any form of physical, verbal, or discriminatory abuse. By participating in any of our volleyball activities or events, you agree to abide by the following guidelines:

Respect and Sportsmanship

Treat all fellow players, coaches, referees, and staff with respect and sportsmanship. Regardless of skill level, background, or any other factors, every individual deserves to be treated fairly and courteously.

Zero Tolerance for Abuse

We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of physical aggression, verbal abuse, or discriminatory behavior. This includes aggressive play, offensive language, taunting, or any conduct that can be perceived as harmful to others.

Report Incidents

If you witness or experience any form of abuse during our volleyball activities, promptly report it to the event organizer or a designated staff member. We take all reports seriously and will handle them in a confidential and responsible manner.

Confidentiality

All reports and investigations will be treated with strict confidentiality. We respect the privacy of all parties involved and will share information only with those directly involved in addressing the incident.

Consequences of Violation

Violations of this Code of Conduct may lead to appropriate actions, depending on the seriousness of the offense. Consequences may include, but are not limited to:

• Verbal warning: A formal warning about the behavior and its potential consequences.
• Temporary suspension: Suspension from participating in volleyball activities for a defined period.
• Permanent expulsion: Permanent removal from all current and future volleyball activities with Ottawa Premier Volleyball.

Foster an Inclusive Environment

We value diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and comfortable. Encourage positive interactions that promote camaraderie and support among all participants.

Encourage Responsible Behavior

As members of our volleyball community, we encourage each other to exhibit responsible and respectful behavior. If you notice any behavior that goes against this Code of Conduct, gently intervene or inform a staff member.
